This Spooky Witches’ Brew Green Punch with Dry Ice Fog is the ultimate Halloween party drink. It comes together in about ten minutes with simple ingredients, creating a showstopping, fog-filled punch that tastes bright and refreshing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (12 oz) frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
  • 1 can (12 oz) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
  • 1 can (46 oz) pineapple juice
  • 2 liters lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7-Up)
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 5–6 drops green food coloring (or more to desired color)
  • 1 cup sugar (optional)
  • 3–5 pounds dry ice

Instructions

  1. In a large pitcher, combine the thawed limeade concentrate, thawed lemonade concentrate, and the entire can of pineapple juice. Stir well until fully blended.
  2. Add 5 drops of green food coloring, stir, and check the color. Add more drops one at a time until you achieve a bright, neon green. Remember the color will lighten when soda and water are added.
  3. If using optional sugar, add it now and stir until dissolved. Taste and adjust sweetness as desired.
  4. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until ice cold.
  5. When ready to serve, pour the chilled mixture into a large punch bowl or plastic cauldron. Add the 4 cups of cold water and the entire 2-liter bottle of lemon-lime soda. Stir gently to combine.
  6. Put on gloves or use tongs. If dry ice is in a big block, wrap it in a kitchen towel and break into golf ball-sized chunks using a hammer.
  7. Carefully drop 2-3 chunks of dry ice into the punch using tongs or gloved hands. Do not put dry ice directly into cups.
  8. Ladle the punch into cups, being careful not to scoop up any dry ice. Add more dry ice chunks every 20-30 minutes to maintain the fog effect.

Notes

Never swallow dry ice. Keep dry ice in the punch bowl only and ensure guests know not to eat it. Avoid letting dry ice touch the sides of a glass bowl directly as it can crack the glass. Plastic or metal bowls are safer. For best fog effect, ensure the punch base is ice cold before adding dry ice. Add dry ice chunks gradually for longer-lasting fog.
