A simple, refreshing sugar-free lemonade made with fresh lemons and keto-friendly sweetener, perfect for a crisp, tart drink without the sugar crash.

  • 68 medium fresh lemons (about 1 cup or 240 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice)
  • 5 cups (1.2 liters) cold filtered or spring water
  • 1/3 cup (65 g) keto sweetener (erythritol preferred, or monk fruit, allulose)
  • Ice cubes, to chill
  • Optional: a handful of fresh mint leaves
  • Optional: lemon slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Roll each lemon firmly on the counter to loosen juices.
  2. Cut lemons in half and juice them using a citrus juicer or reamer until you have about 1 cup (240 ml) of fresh lemon juice. Strain to remove seeds if desired.
  3. In a pitcher, combine the lemon juice with keto sweetener. Stir well until the sweetener is fully dissolved.
  4. Pour in 5 cups (1.2 liters) of cold filtered water and stir gently to blend.
  5. Optional: Add fresh mint leaves and gently bruise them with a spoon to release flavor.
  6. Chill the pitcher in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld and cool thoroughly.
  7. Add plenty of ice cubes before serving. Adjust sweetness or water to taste if needed.

Notes

Use fresh lemons for best flavor; bottled lemon juice is less vibrant and can be bitter. Stir sweetener into lemon juice thoroughly before adding water to avoid graininess. Adjust sweetness gradually and chill lemonade for best taste. Can substitute half water with sparkling water for a fizzy version. Store leftovers in sealed container in fridge up to 3 days; stir before serving.
