These easy apple nachos with peanut butter drizzle are a quick, healthy dessert that comes together in under 10 minutes. Crisp apple slices are topped with a warm, silky peanut butter sauce and your favorite toppings for a crowd-pleasing treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith recommended)
  • 1/2 cup (130g) creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) coconut oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup (30g) chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1/4 cup (30g) chopped nuts (almonds or walnuts, optional)
  • 2 tablespoons shredded coconut (optional)
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the apples. Cut into quarters, remove the core and seeds, then slice into thin wedges about 1/4-inch thick. Arrange in a single layer on a serving platter.
  2. In a small microwave-safe bowl, combine peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, and coconut oil. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth and pourable (about 40-60 seconds total).
  3. Drizzle the warm peanut butter mixture generously over the apple slices. Sprinkle cinnamon evenly on top.
  4. Add optional toppings like chocolate chips, chopped nuts, and shredded coconut while the drizzle is still warm so they stick.
  5. If using, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the top. Serve immediately.

Notes

Slice apples just before serving to prevent browning. If you need to prep ahead, toss slices with a little lemon juice. For a vegan version, use maple syrup and dairy-free chocolate chips. The peanut butter drizzle can be made on the stovetop if you don’t have a microwave.
