A simple, gorgeous drink that feels like a hug in a glass. This easy apple cider mimosa with cinnamon sugar rim is perfect for fall gatherings and brunches.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ounces apple cider per mimosa
  • 4 ounces champagne or prosecco per mimosa
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for rim)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for rim)
  • Apple slices (for garnish)
  • Cinnamon sticks (optional, for garnish)
  • Honey or maple syrup (optional, 1/2 teaspoon per glass)

Instructions

  1. In a small, shallow plate, combine 1/4 cup granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon. Mix until well combined.
  2. To prepare the glass rim, dip the rim of a champagne flute or wine glass into a small amount of honey or maple syrup (or use a cut lemon or apple wedge to wet the rim).
  3. Dip the moistened rim into the cinnamon sugar mixture, rotating to coat evenly. Tap off excess sugar.
  4. Pour 4 ounces of chilled apple cider into the prepared glass.
  5. Slowly pour 4 ounces of chilled champagne or prosecco into the glass, tilting the glass slightly to preserve bubbles.
  6. Garnish with a thin apple slice on the rim and a cinnamon stick if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Prep the cinnamon sugar mixture and rim the glasses up to an hour ahead of time. Keep glasses at room temperature and add liquids just before serving. For a non-alcoholic version, use sparkling apple cider or non-alcoholic sparkling wine.
