candy corn popcorn bark - featured image

A sweet-salty-crunchy bark made with white chocolate, candy corn, and pretzels. This easy, no-bake treat comes together in under 15 minutes and is perfect for Halloween parties, fall gatherings, or any occasion that needs a quick, crowd-pleasing dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz (450g) white chocolate chips or melting wafers
  • 1 ½ cups (about 225g) candy corn
  • 1 cup (about 85g) mini pretzel twists or pretzel sticks
  • 1 teaspoon melted coconut oil or vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons sprinkles or festive decorations (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon flaky sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line a 13×18-inch baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat, letting the paper extend slightly over the edges for easy removal.
  2. Place white chocolate chips and 1 teaspoon of coconut oil in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals at 50% power, stirring well after each interval, until mostly melted (about 2 minutes). Stir continuously until smooth and glossy.
  3. Gently fold in 1 cup of candy corn and ¾ cup of mini pretzels until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer about ¼-inch thick using a rubber spatula.
  5. While the chocolate is still wet, press the remaining ½ cup of candy corn and ¼ cup of pretzels onto the surface. Add sprinkles or flaky sea salt if desired, gently pressing them in.
  6. Refrigerate for 30-45 minutes until completely firm, or freeze for 15 minutes (watch carefully to avoid condensation).
  7. Lift the parchment to remove the bark from the pan. Break into irregular pieces by hand or cut with a sharp knife while cold.
  8. Serve at room temperature or store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.

Notes

Don’t skip the coconut oil—it stabilizes the white chocolate and gives it a beautiful sheen. Add candy corn in stages to keep some on top for visual contrast. Work quickly once chocolate is melted. This bark tastes even better the next day. For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free pretzels. For a dairy-free version, use vegan white chocolate chips.
