A quick and easy recipe for creamy peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwiches that deliver ultimate comfort with a smooth, nostalgic flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 slices soft white bread
  • 1/2 cup (120g) creamy peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup (80ml) strawberry jelly
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) unsalted butter, softened (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by laying out all ingredients and tools.
  2. Spread about 2 tablespoons (30g) of creamy peanut butter evenly on one slice of bread, covering edge to edge.
  3. Spread roughly 1.5 tablespoons (20ml) of strawberry jelly evenly on a separate slice of bread. Stir honey into the jelly beforehand if using.
  4. Gently press the peanut butter slice and jelly slice together, peanut butter side meeting jelly side.
  5. Optional: Spread a thin layer of softened unsalted butter on the outside of both slices. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and toast the sandwich for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Flip carefully with a spatula.
  6. Remove the sandwich from the skillet and let it rest for a minute. Cut diagonally or in half and serve.

Notes

Let the sandwich rest for a minute after toasting to prevent filling from oozing out. If jelly is too thick or cold, soften it by letting it sit at room temperature or microwaving for 5 seconds. Use softened butter for even browning. For gluten-free, use gluten-free bread; for dairy-free, skip butter or use plant-based spread; for nut allergies, substitute sunflower seed butter.
